A Journey from Liberation to Revelation
Session 2 of 2
Are you graduating? Changing jobs? In the midst of another kind of major life transition? Or, like most of us, are you engaged in that ongoing process of figuring out your "work" in the world? The period of time between Pesach and Shavout is all about transformation. In this two part series, Rabbi Dorothy Richman will offer us – individuals committed to affecting positive change in the world – a guide for achieving revelation in our own lives, that in turn inspires us to use all of the tools at our fingertips to work toward the greater good. During session two, we'll again use silence, study, and conversation to explore the idea of the journey itself, as we participate in a dialogue with Rabbi Richman and Aristedes Valencia, a former FMLN freedom fighter who is now the executive director of La Coordinadora, a longtime AJWS project partner in El Salvador working to empower the people of the lower Lempa region to build sustainable and peaceful communities through projects that the people themselves initiate.
