Voices Matter: Women’s Rights in Burma

Naw Htoo Paw fled from Burma in 2001 when Burmese military troops attacked and burned her village. Now, she is on the frontlines of women's activism and defending the rights of Burma's ethnic minorities through the Karen Women's Organization, one of AJWS' many partners working on the Thai-Burmese border. We will also be joined by Jenna Capeci, AJWS Senior Program Officer for Asia, who will share AJWS' grant-making strategies for the region.
