CAS was established in 1995 by AFSC to promote justice, peace, and human dignity by working with the populations most severely affected by armed conflicts. CAS' work in Colombia's conflict regions is focused on peacebuilding and demilitarization and the rights of migrants, ethnic minorities, women and youth.
