Asociación Ecológica Santo Tomás works with communities that are negatively affected by the petroleum drilling and processing plants that have surged in the region since the signing of NAFTA. The organization provides training in environmental law and regulation so that the community groups have the tools and knowledge to demand accountability from industries and authorities not complying with or enforcing established laws.
